This program is offered by Jewish Family Services of the Upstate to the entire Upstate community of Solo Aging Individuals and ACAPs.
Nancy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Western Carolina University and a Graduate Certificate in Counselor Education from NC State University.
In 2013, Nancy began her journey into patient advocacy by founding NAVIGATE NC in Raleigh, NC. This agency, focused on healthcare navigation and catering specifically to the aging population, quickly rose to prominence under Nancy's leadership. Over the span of a decade, NAVIGATE NC became a trailblazer in patient advocacy services across the Southeast, with Nancy wearing multiple hats as a working supervisor, marketing strategist, and operational overseer.
Beyond her roles at NAVIGATE NC, Nancy has generously shared her expertise as a mentor for several professional organizations, extending coaching services to budding advocates and startups. Prior to and following the pandemic, Nancy served as an Adjunct Instructor at both Duke and NC State University's Lifelong Learning programs, delivering
coursework of her design.
Today, Nancy's professional endeavors encompass consulting with clients nationwide from her home in Upstate South Carolina. Renowned for her insights and a sometimes-unconventional narrative and style, Nancy is a highly sought-after speaker at conferences and events, where she delves into topics such as aging, solo aging, and navigating the complexities of the healthcare system.
